THE CHALLENGE: Traditional equity work often stops at consultation. It rarely penetrates the governance structures that determine who actually survives and thrives in a system.
THE GREEN BEACON SOLUTION: We operationalize Trauma-Informed Governance. We move beyond checklists to design Social Infrastructure - policies and spaces that actively protect the psychological and physical safety of the most vulnerable.
THE MANDATE: Policy is not neutral - it is either protective or punitive. The Equity Lab specializes in United Nations Human Rights-Based Approach (HRBA) and Leave No One Behind (LNOB) framework, grassroots mobilization, and applying a rigorous Lived Experience Lens to stress-test institutional decisions.
ONTARIO LIBRARY BOARDS' ASSOCIATION
Role: President & IDEA Lead
Lab Analysis:
Spearheaded the sector-wide Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, & Accessibility (IDEA) Initiative.
The Mechanism: Developed the Human Rights-Based Approach training framework to equip Board Trustees with governance tools to combat systemic discrimination.
The Outcome: Shifted the provincial standard from passive awareness to active governance accountability.

SUGARBUSH PARK ASSOCIATION
Role: Founder & Chair
Lab Analysis:
Founded a City-partnered neighbourhood association to combat social isolation and build social resilience.
The Logistics: Executed end-to-end logistics for neighbourhood events, mobilizing 800+ households to create a 'welcoming to all community' infrastructure.
The Impact: Operationalized Radical Hospitality by turning a geographic boundary into a connected safety net for vulnerable families.

Role: Survivor-Leader & Subject Matter Expert
Lab Analysis:
Applies a rigorous Lived Experience Lens of a Survivor-Leader to institutional strategy.
The Methodology: We stress-test governance policies against the logistical realities of poverty, disability, and systemic exclusion.
The Value: We function as the Risk Detector, ensuring that high-level strategic intent translates into tangible dignity for the resident on the ground.
